Women in GitHub – Project Leader (Ongoing)

Initiated and currently lead Women in GitHub, an open-source initiative that aims to level the playing field for women in social sciences with a quantitative focus. The project supports women in publishing their work on open platforms like GitHub, fostering visibility, collaboration, and open science.

Barrismo Social – Alianza del Pacífico (Colombia, 2024)

Participated in the design of community-based social projects centered around football culture in the cities of Medellín and Pasto. Explored how organized fan groups (barras) have transformed their identities to contribute positively to their communities, promoting peace, inclusion, and local development through sport.

Perú sin Brechas – Gender & Empowerment Volunteer (Peru, 2022)

Worked with women community leaders to foster empowerment and economic independence. Promoted recycling initiatives to generate income and provide food donations to local soup kitchens (ollas comunes).

Authored articles on economic issues from a gender perspective. Led a Microeconometrics workshop for undergraduate students, contributing to knowledge democratization in economics education.

Led the development of a bootcamp aimed at encouraging young women in their final years of high school to pursue STEM careers. Empowered participants through mentorship and skill-building workshops.

Inclusive Recycling – Universidad de Piura (Peru, 2019)

Led a social impact project in collaboration with CEBE and CREBE Jesús de Nazareno in Piura, focused on designing braille educational materials for children with visual impairments. The initiative integrated inclusive education and environmental awareness by creating tactile learning tools from recycled materials, developed with the support of a volunteer team.

A woman teaching basic English in Youtube

Yo te Ayudo con el Cole – English Teacher (Peru, 2020)

Volunteered as an English teacher for students from public schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Delivered virtual classes, created digital learning materials, and recorded YouTube lessons to support students' education and bridge the digital divide during lockdown. The initiative promoted educational continuity in vulnerable contexts.
